To export from Mexico and avoid fines, delays, or seizures, you need to process and present the following indispensable documents to customs:
Export Declaration (Pedimento de Exportación): This is the key tax and customs document that certifies the legal exit of your merchandise. It is processed by your customs broker through the Tax Administration Service (SAT) and the Digital Window for Foreign Trade.
Commercial Invoice with Foreign Trade Complement: It must support the value of the goods. In Mexico, it is mandatory for this electronic invoice (CFDI) to include the foreign trade complement issued by the SAT.

Packing List: Details the content, type of packaging, quantity, weight (net and gross), and dimensions of each package. If the weight does not match the transport document, your cargo may be subject to an exhaustive review.
Transport Document: Depending on the route, it can be the Bill of Lading (maritime), Air Waybill (air), or Bill of Lading / Carta Porte (land).
Certificate of Origin: Allows you to prove where the product was manufactured and access tariff benefits (reduced or zero taxes) if a Free Trade Agreement exists with the destination country.
Compliance Documents: Permits, Official Mexican Standards (NOMs), sanitary, phytosanitary, or quality certificates, depending on the nature and sector of your merchandise.
Letter of Instruction (Carta de Encomienda): The official document where the exporter (you) grants legal mandate to your customs broker to carry out the clearance of your goods.
